A glass garden room is the closest you can get to being in your garden without actually being in your garden. Floor-to-ceiling double glazing on two or three sides floods the space with natural light and gives you panoramic views of your garden — whatever the weather. And unlike a conservatory, our glass garden rooms are properly insulated. Warm in winter, cool in summer, and comfortable all year round.
Glass Garden Rooms vs Conservatories — What's the Difference?
Conservatories are typically glazed on every side including the roof, which makes them impossible to heat in winter and unbearable in summer. Our glass garden rooms take a different approach:
- Solid, fully insulated roof and rear wall
- Double or triple glazed front and one or both sides
- Properly insulated floor and foundations
- No greenhouse effect — you control the temperature
- Looks like a proper room, not an add-on
The result is a space that's genuinely usable 365 days a year — not just a place to sit in May and September.

Glazing Options
Standard Double Glazing
Toughened glass, argon-filled, low-e coating. Good thermal performance, excellent value. Standard on all our glass garden rooms.
Triple Glazing
Three panes, two argon-filled cavities. Maximum thermal performance — noticeably warmer in winter. Ideal for north-facing rooms or exposed sites. Add £1,200-£2,500 depending on size.
Tinted or Solar-Control Glass
Reduces solar gain in south-facing rooms. Prevents the space overheating in summer while maintaining the view. Recommended for south or southwest-facing rooms. Add £600-£1,200.
Self-Cleaning Glass
Special coating breaks down dirt and uses rainwater to wash it away. Reduces maintenance on hard-to-reach panes. Add £400-£800.
Frame Materials
Aluminium Frames
Slim profiles, maximum glass area, contemporary look. Powder-coated in any RAL colour. Most popular for glass garden rooms.
UPVC Frames
Thicker profiles but more affordable. Good thermal performance. White, grey, or oak grain finish.
